My name is Simon and I must say your exams preparation helped alot as this is my third attempt for my COSA. I took the exam this morning and I passed it! I achieved 85% though i thought i could get close to full marks but i will take this 85% anytime.

I may have said 5 weeks ago that my test was scheduled for the 24th of April, 2026. But due to the weather, it was delayed to the 29th of June, 2026.

Nevertheless, we pushed through and I am now the holder of a shiny, new RPLA. The conditions were on the verge of not being suitable for visual flight rules with a substantial amount of clouds…

Hi everyone

Looking for tips for the COSA exam CPL.

It’s basically the CLWA exam.

How did you guys go about it? I have used this platform and 2 others for exams prep, failed it last time unfortunately and am looking for tips on how I can improve.

Few errors and queries. Some of the questions I understand are deliberately vague, but I reckon they’re probably too far.

Q5 – TAF Format isn’t standard (what is 3000 95TS?) Either way, TEMPO with TS until 0600z. Assume INTER is less than alternate minima and INTER would also be required. Arriving 0625z, means TEMPO requirement goes away…

I finally got my instructions from CASA stating what is required of me to complete for my subjects and flying pre-reqs for CPL conversion.

It’s CHUF and COSA exams.

I have done the CHUF section on this platform and the course on AussiePilotexams. Will this be enough or should I find another question bank? Currently getting high percentages…

Well it is safe to say we are well & truly on our way to completing the RPLA by the end of March.

I sat my exam on the first of February and passed with a ripe mark of 83%. I am fairly happy with the result although I mucked up a question that had Isobars in it; how you do that I’ve got no idea.

Hi @Jonty_PilotTrain – a quick question I am hoping you can clarify, in the PPL(A) Pitot-Static System exam there is this question:

The QNH is set on the altimeter incorrectly to 1,024 hPa, instead of 1,028 hPa. Whilst in cruise the altimeter reads 8,000 ft. The true altitude is:

The solution gives:

True altitude = 8,000 – (30 × 4 hPa) = 7,880…

Hi All, just wondering how people manage to understand (and remember) what’s in each of the permitted materials for CPL Air Law (CLWA)? I’m finding that there’s often many references to one topic across the various materials (for example, ELTs) but don’t all say the same thing. Any tips, or is this subject just mass repetition?
